An opportunity to learn
from one another’s practice.

It is my pleasure to announce the Kansai–Kanto Joint JASMIST Meeting, to be held on Saturday, February 5, 2028. By bringing together the experience and knowledge accumulated in both regions, we hope to create an opportunity to learn from one another’s clinical practice.

Advancing minimally invasive spine care requires more than learning about new techniques. It is also important to discuss openly the questions that arise in everyday practice and the situations in which treatment choices are difficult. We aim to encourage discussion across professional roles and generations, offering insights that participants can take back to their clinical practice.

Together with Dr. Akihiko Hiyama, we are preparing to welcome you to the meeting. I look forward to seeing you in Atami.

Draft for review

Exploring minimally invasive spine care
from diverse perspectives.

I am delighted to be co-hosting the Kansai–Kanto Joint JASMIST Meeting with Dr. Wataru Narita. Through exchange across regions, we hope to create a forum in which minimally invasive spine care can be considered from a range of perspectives.

Everyday clinical practice brings different approaches and challenges across institutions and specialties. By sharing our experiences and discussing the reasoning behind treatment decisions and techniques in depth, we hope to deepen our mutual understanding. We also aim to create an environment in which younger colleagues feel comfortable sharing their questions and views.

We are preparing for a day that will bring colleagues from Kansai and Kanto together and help build new connections. We look forward to welcoming many of you to the meeting.

Note: These welcome messages are drafts for review before publication.
