開催のご挨拶 Welcome Message
第30回関西MIST研究会の当番幹事を拝命いたしました、関西労災病院の山崎良二です。 今回のテーマは「脊椎の低侵襲治療、明日への挑戦」といたしました。
MISTは患者層が多い変性疾患や骨粗鬆症性の椎体骨折関連で議論されることが多く、過去の本研究会でも変性疾患が主なテーマでした。もちろん、今後もそういった疾患や病態がテーマの中心となるでしょう。
しかし、脊椎治療の低侵襲化により治療分野が広がり、患者のニーズも変わってきています。スポーツ脊椎、脊椎内視鏡治療、脊椎エコー、AI、リハビリなど、これまでそこまで注目を浴びなかった分野が、今後はMISTをサポートする重要な要素として注目を集めていくものと考えます。
そこで、脊椎治療根幹の変性疾患を中心に、それらをサポートする技術について、症例検討・シンポジウム・特別講演を通してディスカッションしていただきたいと考えています。関西MIST研究会は、学閥を超えて新たな脊椎治療の可能性を追求し続けてきた活動的な研究会であり、このテーマを議論するのに最適です。

It is a great honor to serve as the Congress President for the 30th Kansai MIST Society Meeting. The theme for this meeting is "Challenge for Tomorrow in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery."
MIST (Minimally Invasive Spine Treatment) discussions often focus on degenerative diseases and osteoporotic vertebral fractures due to the large patient population. While these conditions will continue to be central themes, the scope of minimally invasive spinal treatment is expanding, and patient needs are evolving.
Areas such as sports spine, endoscopic spinal surgery, spinal ultrasound, AI, and rehabilitation—which may not have received as much spotlight in the past—are now becoming crucial supporting elements for MIST.
We aim to discuss technologies supporting the core treatment of degenerative diseases through case studies, symposiums, and special lectures. The Kansai MIST Society is an active group that pursues new possibilities in spinal treatment beyond academic factions, making it the perfect venue for this discussion.
